The Agency for Cultural Affairs is proud to present Korean Independent Cinema 2004 as a response to the fourth stage of the opening of Korea to Japanese popular culture, and in acknowledgment of next year's Japan Korea Festa 2005. We hope that Korean Independent Cinema 2004 will increase cultural exchange between the two nations and promote mutual understanding and friendship in all fields and on all levels .
